Hints and Tips
The followings are some hints and tips that may be helpful to you.
- If you use this software often, you may add a short cut on your task bar or desktop like me.
- Every time when the Easy Graphic Converter launched, it would show the splash screen 2 seconds or more. You may click on the splash screen to speed up the process.
- If you often do the repeated work, you may set the images input and output directory from View/Options/Other/Open Directory & Save As Directory .
- To quick activate the open dialog, you may press short key CTRL+O
- To quick activate the save dialog, you may press short key CTRL+S
- To quick activate the save as dialog, you may press short key CTRL+A
- You recent opened/saved image files are listed in the history list under the pull-down menu FILE
- If you do anything wrong when editing, you may press CTRL+Z to reverse the operation. You may also press menu item UNDO from pull-down menu EDIT
- Double click the image to enlarge show the image in a full screen and double click the full screen to return
- Right click the image to activate a popup menu for operation. The popup menu is the same as the pull-down menu FILE
- In the resize window, if you want to resize with the same proportion as the original image, check the [Constrain Proportions] box. If you want to resize with random proportion, uncheck it.
- In the resize window, press [Preview] button, a full screen would be activated with the resized image for your view.
- In the rotate window, press the [Preview] button, the bottom would show a preview area for previewing the rotating result at real time.
- In the canvas window, if you want to add a canvas to the image, you must set the width and height larger than the old image size, otherwise the canvas would be hided by the image.
- Use Capture Last Full Screen, Easy Graphic Converter will minimize itself and then capture the whole screen into the image window.
- Use Capture Last Active Window, Easy Graphic Converter will minimize itself and then capture the focused window into the image window. So if you want to capture a window, you need to set the focus on the window and then switch to the Easy Graphic Converter with ALT+TAB key. Then make a capturing.
- Use Capture Window, Easy Graphic Converter will minimize itself and show a small capture window. Drag the icon from the window and move it to spy each window for capturing.
- Use Capture Region, Easy Graphic Converter will minimize itself and show cross cursor. Press down the mouse , then drag and drop for capturing.
- Use Capture an ICON Area ( 32 X 32 ) , you may easily make your own icons. Show the image on screen and then capture it with Capture an ICON Area ( 32 X 32 ). Save the capturing into icon with Save As menu.
